(2005) Bill qualified to Chartered member.

C M I O SH ) 2007 Launching W O’brien health & safety management, continual provision of expert, qualified advice/professional service now sees Bill providing Health & safety advisor/ manager role to all sectors of industry. Specializing in construction Bill was formerly qualified Planning Supervisor ( CDM Regulations ) 1994 from the period 1994 to 2007 when the CDM Regulations underwent a radical review becoming the CDM Regulations 2007 the new Regulations saw the role of Planning Supervisor amended to the new role of CDM Co-ordinator existing planning supervisors were required t undertake highly academic examinations by the Association for Project Safety (formerly the Association Planning Supervisors ) under the 1994 Regulations before being allowed to practice CDM management under the new Regulations, Bill achieved the necessary academic standards being entered onto the APS register of CDM Coordinators holding the qualification R Maps Bill now provides expert CDM Coordination services to the Construction and Civil Engineering industries.

One of the far reaching changes to come with CDM 2007 is the requirement for Clients to be satisfied that all Principal Contractor and sub-contractors are competent. To be able to demonstrate such competence, Principal contractors and sub-contractors are required to have either CHAS (construction health and safety) or Constructionline approval both these schemes guarantee competence by assessment, Bill has many years experience supporting contractors through the application process.

One major requirement of both CHAS and Constructionline is the requirement for a fully documented health and safety management system, containing, policies, procedures, formal safe systems of work risk assessments etc.

Bill can provide such systems from scratch or help you develop an existing system to reach standards required.
